Delete your account and data

Taxcout is operated by BlackSolstice Technologies. You can ask us to delete your Taxcout account and the personal information associated with it at any time. This page explains how to request deletion and what happens to your data.

How to request deletion

Email privacy@taxcout.com from the email address on your Taxcout account, with the subject "Delete my account." The steps:

1. Send an email to privacy@taxcout.com from your account email address.
2. Use the subject line "Delete my account."
3. We confirm the request is from you (to protect your sensitive tax information) and then delete your account.
4. We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days and email you when it's done.

What we delete

When we delete your account, we remove your Taxcout profile and identity information (name, Social Security number, address), your saved tax returns and the figures in them, documents you stored in the Vault, and your subscription/entitlement records tied to your account.

What we may keep, and for how long

We may retain a limited set of records where the law requires it — for example, transaction and payment records (payment card processing is handled by Stripe under its own retention practices) and any tax-related records we are legally obligated to keep. We keep these only for as long as required by applicable law and then delete or de-identify them. We do not sell your personal information.
